Support for IBM's ImagePlus AFP Documents Announced

Newton, MA (September 12, 2001) – Snowbound Software, leaders in imaging technology, today announced the implementation of full reading capabilities for IBM’s AFP (Advanced Function Presentation) image format into its family of imaging products. The AFP format is part of IBM’s popular ImagePlus document imaging system and was created to add enhanced formatting and indexing capabilities to documents for print applications in finance, retail, insurance and other industries. Application developers can now use Snowbound’s RasterMaster to create powerful  applications, workstation or web-based, that manipulate, or convert these AFP images.

Viewers, batch conversion programs, and web-enabled viewers are also available from Snowbound.

AFP support is now available in all of the powerful imaging software development kits and other components that Snowbound Software provides. It is included in the Windows RasterMaster CM Platinum SDK and as an option for the Java Extended SDK. It is also available for UNIX, MAC and Snowbound’s Snapplet products.
