Newton, MA (June 13, 2002) – Snowbound Software Corporation introduced its powerful RasterNet II Imaging Plug-In for Internet Explorer.  This product is intended to provide imaging capability now lost due to Microsoft's discontinuance of support for Netscape type plug-ins.  The new product is a true ActiveX and is specifically designed to operate within all modern versions of Internet Explorer.

Based on Snowbound's popular and mature imaging library, RasterMaster 11.0, RasterNet II automatically supports almost 100 imaging formats and includes all popular image manipulation functions.  Once an image is downloaded from a website, the RasterNet II window appears.  Image handling functions are activated by the right mouse button.  These functions include all popular operations including zoom, rotate, flip, fit to width and height, and print.  Supported image types include JPEG, TIFF, Group 4, faxes, DICOM, MO:DCA, Photoshop, BMP, CALS, JEDMICS and many more.

Implementing this powerful imaging solution is easily done. HTML pages can be easily created, either statically or dynamically, with a command invoking the plug-in.  The ActiveX plug-in is easily installed within the Internet Explorer directory and is automatically recognized.  Whenever a page containing the appropriate HTML is downloaded by the client system, an image window automatically appears.

Supported Platforms:  Internet Explorer under Windows.
