Watertown, MA (February 8, 2005) — Snowbound Software, a leading provider of performance-driven imaging solutions, today announced the release of an enhanced Microsoft Word Plug-in for its RasterMaster Imaging SDK.  The enhancement extends the functionality of the plug-in enabling batch conversion of Microsoft Word to PDF.

Application developers can easily incorporate functionality into an application that will extract both the text and formatting data from Microsoft Word files as well as convert the files to searchable PDFs. Because the functionality is integrated directly into the application and does not rely on a printer driver, the result is a very fast, reliable, high-performance batch conversion process.  Companies can quickly standardize to a common file format that can be easily archived and distributed.
