Watertown, MA (September 21, 2005) – Snowbound Software, a leading provider of performance-driven imaging solutions, today announced the availability of a Microsoft Word option for its RasterMaster Imaging SDK for JAVA as well as its comprehensive line of powerful FlexSnap web viewers. With the addition of the MS Word format users can quickly view, convert, and manipulate Word documents without relying on the native Microsoft Office application.
Using RasterMaster, the company’s flagship imaging SDK that provides a wide range of automated document imaging functions, application developers can easily incorporate functionality into an application to view, convert, manipulate, and annotate Word files. Because the conversion functionality is integrated directly into the application and does not rely on a printer driver, the result is a fast, reliable, high-performance batch conversion process.
The addition to the FlexSnap web viewers provides end users the ability to open and view MS Word files as well as over 40 other document image formats in a universal viewer. Organizations can greatly benefit from enhancing a standard web browser with the ability to view, convert, manipulate, annotate, and print a wide variety of formats from one viewer.
