RasterMaster 14.0 expands the extensive list of current formats available including:
- Reading support for Microsoft Word documents allows developers to build applications without the limitation of the end user having to rely on Microsoft Office in order to view the file.
- Reading and writing support for JPEG2000, providing better compression sizes over JPEG and reducing the amount of memory required when archiving detailed greyscale and color images.
- Functions that provide the ability to extract text and formatting data from MS Word, RTF, PCL and AFP documents. Developers thereby can build applications that create searchable PDFs as well as develop content aggregation tools to simplify database population efforts.
- Extension of the Microsoft Office plug-in to include RTF support for viewing and conversion that retainins the appearance of fonts, page layout, and tables in image formats such as TIFF or JPEG.
Additional version 14.0 feature enhancements include:
- Support for HP-GL/2 plotter files
- Support for Windows XP/64
- Embedded TIFF images in IOCA files
- Additional font support for MO:DCA
