Snowbound Software Unveils New Imaging Applications At The 2006 AIIM OnDemand Show in Philadelphia

Watertown, MA (May 12, 2006) – Snowbound Software, a leading provider of performance-driven imaging solutions, will be introducing new and enhanced imaging applications at their booth (#101) during the 2006 AIIM OnDemand tradeshow in Philadelphia, May 15-18.   

Visitors will have an opportunity to see a demonstration for the first time of Snowbound’s new FlexSnap Applet SE web viewer, exciting enhancements to their existing FlexSnap: SI web viewer, and preview new features that will be included in the next release of their RasterMaster Imaging SDK.

Highlights include:

• Introducing FlexSnap: Applet SE – The newest edition to Snowbound’s web viewer family is FlexSnap: Applet SE.   This new Standard Edition of the Java imaging applet is three times faster than any other viewer.  It delivers high-speed viewing and annotation support for popular image formats including TIFF, JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, FileNet, and more.  FlexSnap: Applet SE provides a configurable user interface, thumbnail support, configurable toolbars, and annotation.
  
  
• Preview upcoming enhancements to FlexSnap: SI – FlexSnap: SI is Snowbound’s robust web viewer that combines a powerful Java imaging applet and servlet to provide high-speed access to documents and images located on any web repository.  The processing is done on the server including decompressing files and breaking-up multi-page documents enabling pages to be sent to the viewer in seconds.  Enhancements include: text searching and term-hit highlighting for MS Word, MS Excel, PDF, AFP, and PCL; the ability for users to re-order and delete pages directly within the viewer, and the capability to quickly copy and paste pages between different files.  The new version of FlexSnap: SI will be available in July.
  
  
• Preview upgrades for the RasterMaster Imaging SDK – RasterMaster is Snowbound’s flagship imaging SDK and Library that enables developers to easily add robust imaging capabilities to their applications through an easy-to-use API.  Enhancements include: term-hit highlighting and text extraction; reading support for MS Excel, static HTML, FileNet and FileNet annotations; the ability to map user defined fonts in rendering AFP/MODCA file format; support for PDF saving with powerful JBIG2 compression; and improvements to Word and Excel.  Version 15 for Windows (ActiveX, DLL, .NET) and UNIX as well as Version 10 for Java will be available in June.
