Watertown, MA (January 26, 2006) – Snowbound Software, a leading provider of performance-driven imaging solutions, today released multiple session and other enhancements to their FlexSnap web viewers, providing even faster and more efficient viewing for their customers.

The latest release, FlexSnap v. 9.12, enables users to open multiple windows at one time as well as set the window size and location for multiple sessions.  This gives users the flexibility to work with a viewing environment that satisfies their preferences.  Additionally, depending on the desired workflow, documents and images can now be opened directly from the server or document management system rather than having to open the file from within the viewer interface.     

Other enhancements include thumbnail and annotation features that provide better usability and easier navigation.  Highlighted borders indicate what thumbnail is active in the viewer as well as what area of the document or image is being viewed when magnified.

Snowbound’s FlexSnap web viewers, which are built completely in Java to ensure cross-platform compatibility, are available in a variety of configurations to meet specific requirements including an imaging applet, with or without a server component, as well as a pure HTML viewer. Some versions of FlexSnap have an easy-to-use API allowing solution providers to quickly integrate and implement FlexSnap with most content or document management systems.  A version is also available that is specifically configured to integrate with Documentum Webtop.
