Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Support Released by Snowbound Software

MS Office Application Support Expanded in Snowbound’s Entire Line of Imaging Solutions

Watertown, MA (March 01, 2006) – Snowbound Software, a leading provider of performance-driven imaging solutions, today released support for Microsoft Office Excel, enabling users to view, annotate, convert, and print Excel workbooks while eliminating the need to have this MS Office application installed on their computers.   

The Excel option is available in Snowbound’s FlexSnap web viewers, RasterMaster imaging SDKs for Java and Windows including DLL, ActiveX, and .NET, and SnowBatch batch conversion application.  This enhancement gives companies the flexibility to cost-effectively archive and distribute Excel files while maintaining all of the original formatting.  

Excel data, formulas, formatting styles, header and footer information, images, and multiple worksheets are all supported. Worksheet data is also searchable (currently in Windows) and can be extracted for data aggregation purposes. Excel files can also be converted to any format supported by Snowbound’s library including PDF, TIFF, JPEG, and over 100 additional formats.
