Watertown, MA (May 12, 2006) – Snowbound Software, a leading provider of performance-driven imaging solutions, today announced its RasterMaster for Java imaging SDK version 10 will be available in early June. Notable enhancements include reading support for MS Excel, improvements to Word and PDF, text searching, text extraction, and term-hit highlighting.
With the addition of text searching, text extraction, and term-hit highlighting for PDF, MS Word, MS Excel, AFP, and PCL, companies are now able to support these popular business formats without relying on the creator application such as Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat. This also gives developers more flexibility when building end-user functionality in document imaging solutions or content aggregation tools to simplify database population efforts.

Additional enhancements include support for static HTML, PCX, and DCX formats, rendering headers and footers in Word, the ability to map user defined fonts when rendering AFP/MODCA files, and reading support for the FileNet format and FileNet annotations.
