Snowbound Software Previews New Enhancements for Its Java Document Processing Application at AIIM Conference

Updated FlexSnap: SI enhancements to further streamline workflow processes, increase end-user productivity, and support compliance and security standards

Watertown, MA (April 16, 2007) – Snowbound Software, a leading provider of powerful, flexible, and reliable imaging technology, announces new enhancements for FlexSnap®: SI, an industry-leading Java document processing application.

The latest FlexSnap: SI enhancements are designed to further streamline workflow processes, increase end-user productivity, and support compliance and security standards. Some of the featured enhancements include:

• Multiple document viewing – Advanced thumbnail and tabbed window support enables users to preview images of each page within a document and easily switch between documents that are open in the viewer. Administrators can easily configure the viewer to show images of files opened during the most recent session, or display images of frequently-used files by department or user group. 
• Robust security for annotations and redactions – Additional redaction capability and multiple permission levels for security based on user permissions.
• Ability to send/email files – Files retrieved from the repository will be able to be sent from the viewer to a select destination, such as e-mail. For added security, redactions and annotations are burned directly into the file, prohibiting any restricted information from being accessed when the file is circulated outside of the repository.

FlexSnap supports a wide variety of formats including AFP, ABIC, JPEG, MO:DCA, MS WORD, PCL, PDF, TIFF, and many more, eliminating the need to invoke the creator application. It is a powerful and flexible solution that can be easily integrated with a wide variety of ECM systems and file repositories.
