FlexSnap is a single lightweight application that provides high-speed viewing™ capabilities that enable fast and secure retrieval, navigation, manipulation, and annotation of documents and images stored within repositories. The latest enhancements further streamline document processing workflow and increase end-user productivity, especially with large and complex files.

FlexSnap’s unique Page on Demand™ (POD) technology reduces document viewing time requirements which can be significant for large files. It eliminates the need to download documents prior to viewing by quickly and accurately delivering only the page(s) requested by the user. Enhancements featured in Snowbound’s latest version of FlexSnap include:

• Multi-document viewing – Advanced thumbnail and tabbed window support saves time and adds productivity by enabling users to preview images of each document page and easily toggle between open documents in the viewer. Administrator configuration permits viewing of frequently-used and most recently opened files by any criteria including department, user, or group. 
• Multiple thumbnail views – Configurable user interface saves time and bandwidth by providing the option to display only the first page of each document or to show all of pages contained in each document. Users can efficiently navigate and retrieve desired information in seconds. 
• Text searching and term-hit highlighting – Enhances user productivity by providing search function without retrieving or navigating the entire document. Searches within a variety of text-based files including: PDF, MS Word, MS Excel, AFP, PCL, and RTF.
• Drag and drop pages – Simplifies creation of documents in a new window or tab; delete and/or re-order pages by selecting a range of pages in the thumbnail panel using the standard CTRL/ SHIFT method or by using a contextual right-click menu.
• XML annotation support – Provides greater flexibility to access and read annotations in a wider variety of applications rather than being restricted to working within a proprietary application.  The information can also be quickly and easily searched and extracted.    
• Robust security for annotations and redactions – Delivers additional redaction capability and support for multiple permission levels. FlexSnap can adhere to the user permission scheme set up within the repository to ensure compliance with corporate regulations and security standards. 
• Ability to add watermarks – Enhances content security and streamlines processes by creating text- or image-based watermark overlays that can be applied to a single page or a range of pages within a document. Customized watermark stamps can be created to expedite approval processes.  

Additional FlexSnap enhancements include: support for the .msg email format; the ability to save a new version of the file to the repository; and the ability to send a file to an external application with or without related annotations, redactions, or watermark layers.
