To address growing enterprise content management concerns inside and outside companies, OpenText recently released its Managed File Transfer solution, which is integrated with Microsoft Outlook.
According to the company, the new solution is easy to use and helps lower file attachment sizes to address current Microsoft Outlook limitations, such as the 10 megabytes restriction on attachments. Organizations have adopted other solutions to address this need, including cloud-based platforms. OpenText said the Managed File Transfer application includes similar methods as email extensions.
"We heard loud and clear from customers that their current solutions for exchanging digital content were limited in file size, not secure enough, too slow or too hard to use," said OpenText general manager Eugene Cherny. "We developed OpenText Managed File Transfer to fully address these challenges."
OpenText continues to release ECM solutions to address growing data challenges. The company made its Capture for Microsoft SharePoint application available last month. The system helps organizations index and digitize their documents to upgrade their infrastructure and rely less on paper. OpenText also noted that research has shown that document capture technology can also help businesses lower their operating costs.
