Storage solutions provider EMC recently announced that live event coverage company Livestream has reduced its storage operating costs by almost 30 percent using the Isilon application.
EMC made the announcement at the NAB Conference in Las Vegas and noted that Livestream adopted Isilon to address rapidly growing big data demands. With the product, the company can easily scale performance and storage capacity.
Isilon has also helped Livestream automate its storage operations so employees can focus their efforts on other mission-critical tasks, the vendor added.
“We’re a fast growing startup, so it’s critical that we choose a storage product that can meet our needs within a startup’s budget,” noted Livestream vice president Nicholas Tang. “EMC Isilon was a perfect choice – not only did the product lower our operating costs, but it enabled us to seamlessly scale with user demand.”
All types of businesses have turned to EMC for their storage needs and have benefited from using its Isilon solution. In February, the vendor announced that the U.K.’s largest luxury automobile manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover, chose Isilon to boost its data performance and enhance its storage capabilities.
