PCL Image Conversion and Viewers
Snowbound Software imaging SDK, web viewer, and conversion application support PCL and the related HP/GL2 printer language.
What is PCL?
PCL is a printer graphics/data format developed by Hewlett Packard and used in laser and some ink-jet printers.
Snowbound Document Viewing & Conversion Solutions for PCL:
- Our RasterMaster imaging SDK allows you to build viewing, conversion and over 140 other expert imaging functions securely into your custom applications to support PCL files. RasterMaster also provides you with the ability to view specific pages within a PCL data stream.
- Our powerful VirtualViewer document and image web viewer enables you to view, convert, manipulate, annotate, and print PCL files through a standard Web browser. Because VirtualViewer is developed from our robust Java imaging SDK, they support all of the file formats offered in our Java library. With VirtualViewer you have the ability to view multiple document and image formats, including PCL, through a universal viewer.
- SnowBatch, our batch conversion application, provides you the capability to perform rapid batch conversion right from your desktop or server. The easy-to-use interface will enable you to quickly convert all your PCL files to formats suitable for viewing or storage.
Note: PCL reading is an added cost option for Snowbound's Windows, .NET, and Java products. We support both Black & White and Color output for PCL documents.
Important: As we all know document and image specifications are intentionally loosely written and rarely updated. As a result many applications create documents “incorrectly” and they do not adhere to the latest specifications.
In order to maintain the highest ethical standards and help provide customers with the most positive user experience, Snowbound Software recommends that, as part of your purchase process, you test your own sample documents against our products. Snowbound, unlike most competitors, develops its own technology. If in the rare case you come across a problem or non-conforming document or image, we can often fix it.
