Web-Based Collaboration and Annotation in the Document Viewer

VirtualViewer's extensive XML-based annotation capabilities allow users to collaborate on documents and images by adding or removing document annotations or image annotations without affecting the original document or other annotations.

• Annotate ALL formats in the Document Viewer – Add document annotations or image annotations to any document or image format supported by our viewer including Word, Excel, PDF/A, PDF, AFP, TIFF, and more.
• Easily access and read annotations - XML format allows the document annotations or image annotations to be read in a wider variety of applications rather than being restricted to working within a proprietary application.
  
• Search and extract annotation information - XML format enables quick searching and extraction of information contained within the document annotation or image annotation.
  
• Store annotations as separate objects – Enables document annotation or image annotation capabilities to be based on user permission levels set up by the administrator.  
• Support a variety of annotations – Rubber stamps, redaction capabilities, highlighting, “sticky notes”, and more.
• Add watermarks for content security – Easily create text- or image-based watermark overlays that can be applied to a single page or a range of pages within a document for viewing and printing.
• Ability to "burn in" annotations – Create versions or renditions of the document for use in external applications.
