Northbridge, a business collaboration solutions provider, recently announed a series of implementations of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 aimed at boosting efficiency within its customers” IT operations. The company found new features in SharePoint 2010, which Microsoft released in May, enable its users to improve several tasks previous editions of the ECM suite could not help.
With Northbridge, companies can implement complex solutions such as SharePoint quickly and with fewer snags than handling deployment without support. Northbridge cites a study from Forrester Research, which found 78 percent of firms are using or planning to implement SharePoint, as proof of the solution”s value to organizations of all kinds.
“This is one of the most rapid adoptions of a major Microsoft release that we have ever seen,” Rob Patten, CEO of Northridge, said. “SharePoint 2010 is truly an enterprise-class unified business platform for the development and delivery of intranet, extranet and internet solutions that provide meaningful business value to organizations of all sizes.”
SharePoint”s value to companies has been well documented, especially since the release of the 2010 installment. Companies in the food service, automobile and professional sports industries have all detailed various methods of SharePoint implementation.
