Software Support Engineer

We take support very seriously at Snowbound so we are looking for someone who is comfortable with Support as a career. We are not looking for someone who will just answer phones and read from a script. We want someone who will commit to providing our customers with top notch, customized support.

This Support person will be responsible for responding to support requests for Snowbound’s viewing and imaging software products.

This involves:

  • Providing professional responses to the customer through our ticketing system.
  • Reproducing issues in our VirtualViewer® and RasterMaster® SDK products. This requires skills in:
    • Installing and configuring multiple versions of multiple products on Windows and UNIX.
    • Understanding basic differences between many document formats, including pdf, doc, docx, tif, jpeg and others.
    • Reading between the lines to reproduce behavior when the customer has not provided all the information needed.
    • Customizing web application configurations in XML, CSS, and HTML.
    • Programming in Java or C#.
  • Keeping concise updates of support issue progress in our ticketing and bug tracking system.
  • Prioritizing incoming requests based on severity of the issue and the level of support the customer is entitled to.
  • Being organized with attention to detail to ensure the correct products and options are delivered to the correct people.
Fluency in English is required. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is a plus.
