Snowbound ‘Leaps-and-Bounds’ ahead - Launches New Web Site (5/22/12)

Clean & Concise Connectivity with Web 3.0 Navigation

Waltham, MA. (May 22, 2012) - Snowbound Software, the market leader in document viewing and conversion solutions, is excited to announce the launch of a completely revamped Web site designed to greatly enhance the user experience of Snowbound’s customers, partners and prospects. The new site features more intuitive navigation, international language support and Web 3.0 design parameters – to better engage with our visitors.

The new site was created with the goal of satisfying three main goals– improving customer and visitor experience with regards to information and demos, meeting or exceeding new web design standards, and a flexible and robust CMS platform.

“Snowbound’s web site was very product-centric, text heavy, and dated with the stock photography and muted colors,” explains Jody Spencer, Director of Marketing for Snowbound Software. “Our goal with the new site was to give people options to quickly get to the information they need. The site still features a lot of content about our products of course, but we’ve also added contextual navigation to help users who may not know exactly what the product is that they’re looking for – so they can search by industry or particular solution type or functionality instead. Due to the rise in popularity of social media sites, corporate website design trends are following suit and incorporating more bold imagery and color. We wanted to be able to visually describe our offerings and catch peoples’ attention graphically, and then make it as easy as possible for them to find exactly what they’re looking for in as few clicks as possible.”

Snowbound’s document viewer and conversion solutions are sold globally through direct sales as well as a network of OEM and reseller relationships.  As a result, it was important to provide the international audience with an easy way to understand what Snowbound has to offer in their own language. The new site incorporates Google’s translation technology allowing visitors to translate any of the pages on the site into over 52 different languages.

“We are fortunate to have interested visitors from all over the world frequent our site and request product evaluations. Given the wide range of countries represented in our traffic analysis we needed to find the best solution possible to address our diverse audience,” added Spencer, “This is the first phase of our web re-design. We will be unveiling additional features and functions over the next few months to further engage with our web visitors.”
